Our Technology

About us

Maatria was founded by three individuals united by the belief in respecting our planet. We bring global product-building experience to make lithium ion battery recycling economically viable, as constant mining and importing of critical minerals is unsustainable.

We believe a circular economy is the only sustainable path. Our vision is to avoid mining new critical minerals unless extending the planet's battery capacity. We collaborate with tech partners and cell manufacturers to make this vision a reality.

Our initial results show recycled CAM (cathode active material) matches the performance of virgin CAM with 15% recyclate. We are working to achieve performance parity or better with any amount of recyclate CAM, proving that sustainability and performance go hand in hand.
